This year marks the 10th annual Wounded Warrior parade in support of the annual Wounded Warrior event that is hosted by the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club on South Stump Tavern Road, Jackson.

On Oct. 7 at 9 a.m., the veterans will assemble at the Jackson Justice Complex as they prepare for their ride to the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club.

The veterans will be escorted to the club’s range by the Jackson Police Department, Jackson’s volunteer fire companies, Jackson’s first aid squads, motorcycle groups and others who volunteer to show support for those who served the nation, according to the press release.

Any agencies that can spare manpower and equipment are invited to join the procession as a further show of support. The escort is expected to leave the Justice Complex at about 9:30 a.m.

Reina, who is a member of the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club, said he is looking forward to spending time again this year alongside these courageous men and women.

All residents, organizations and clubs, including those from neighboring towns, are invited to line up from the Justice Complex on West Veterans Highway to the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club as a sign of support and to honor the veterans.

“We owe a great debt to those who have served in defense of this nation,” Reina said. “The freedoms we enjoy today as Americans have been purchased at a high price. For many, their sacrifice ended in permanent injury, yet their spirit remains in the continued preservation of our freedoms and the promise of liberty. Showing your support will only take a few minutes out of your day, but will provide a lasting memory for these heroes.”

Spectators are asked to safely park their cars along the roads, wave flags and show their support as the parade passes by. Any agency, club or group wishing to take part in the event may contact Reina’s office at 732-928-1200, ext.1211.

All wounded warriors and veterans from any war who are interested in attending should email Al Dolce at njgunfun@gmail.com
