Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares raises approx. $100,000 for local charities

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the philanthropic arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., recently raised approximately $100,000 for charities assisting local communities at its second annual Cares Cup event at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Approximately 500 guests attended the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Cup on Sept. 15. It was a great night of fun that featured more than 200 gift baskets and silent auction items, a cash raffle, casino games, food and drink. The success of the event matched last year’s Cares Cup, which also raised $100,000 for community causes.

The funds raised through the 2017 Cares Cup will enable Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares to support 10 local charities: The 200 Club of Union County, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Children’s Aid and Family Services, Holiday Express, HomeFront, Liam’s Room, Morris Habitat for Humanity, PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), Table to Table, and United Hospice of Rockland.

“Thanks to everyone who came out to the second Cares Cup to support organizations doing important work in our communities, and to everyone who donated or worked behind the scenes to make it a success,” said Hal Maxwell, group president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. “The Cares Cup is a crucial part of our fundraising efforts, and of Coldwell Banker’s mission to give back.”

The premier sponsors of the 2017 Cares Cup were NRT Title Agency, Coldwell Banker Home Loans, Castle Edge Insurance Agency, The VIP Program, US Inspections and Coldwell Banker Home Protection Plan. Numerous individuals and businesses donated a wide variety of prizes for the silent auction and raffle, and a large team of volunteers ran the event. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Chairperson Dan Mancuso was instrumental in organizing the Cares Cup.
