Christian Shave of Howell was awarded gold stars by The Citadel, Charleston, S.C., for achieving a 3.7 grade point average or higher for the 2017 fall semester. Cadets and students who achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on the dean’s list. Christian was also named to the president’s list for the 2017 fall semester. The president’s list is a combination of the dean’s list and the commandant’s distinguished list and includes cadets who contribute the most to their companies while maintaining excellent military and academic records. Christian was among the 90 cadets recognized for their outstanding work during the 2017 fall semester.

Delaware Valley University, Doyles-town, Pa., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Rebecca Shannon of Howell, Breanna Almeida of Howell, Taylor Potter of Howell, Amanda McKeegan of Jackson, Kevin Bailey of Howell, Bryanna Garnett of Jackson and George Frueh of Jackson.

Cassandra Collimore of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, N.H., for the 2017 fall semester.

Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, Md., announced that Ryan Callahan of Howell and Tyler Shimchak of Jackson have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., announced that two residents of Jackson have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Conor Prendergast and Amanda Capasso.

Alvernia University, Reading, Pa., announced that the following residents of Jackson have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Kristen Boyle, Ryan Boyle and Jessica Suter.

Quadajiah Fitch of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, for the 2017 fall semester.

The University of Hartford, West Hartford, Conn., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Bamidele Adu of Howell, Kevin Henson of Howell, Andrew Petersen of Howell and Jonathan Goldenberg of Jackson.
