Weekly series to address skills needed after suffering life-altering loss

The South Brunswick  Library will offer Skillbuilders, a series of classes targeting widows, widowers and those who have suffered a life-altering loss.

The series will offer basic life skills that are often shared in a partnership. Participants will learn practical information such as basic car care, financial literacy, cooking and shopping for one, estate planning, basic home maintenance and other similar topics.

The series will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 19-June 14 at the library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

The introduction class on April 19, Adjusting to Change and Dealing with Grief, will feature Kathleen Ostertag, counselor and owner of Aging with Dignity and Choice in East Brunswick.

The workshops are open to all.
