The First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen will hold a discussion about the book “Boys in the Bunkhouse: Servitude & Salvation in the Heartland” presented by author Dan Barry, New York Times senior reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner at 7 p.m. on April 25 in the FPC Social Center, 270 Woodbridge Ave., Metuchen.

“Boys in the Bunkhouse” chronicles the story of a group of men with intellectual and developmental disabilities who were forced for decades, until 2009, to work in harsh conditions for minimal pay in an Iowa meat-processing plant.
