Raritan Valley Y teaches swim safety

“Otter Spotter” Day was recognized by the Raritan Valley YMCA in East Brunswick on May 14 to promote water safety awareness and drowning prevention. Children were read the “Otter Spotter” story about an otter who learns to swim. The book draws parallels to messages such as never swimming alone, learning to be safe around the water, and floating to help save yourself.
