DJ Pullaro is working toward the rank of Life Scout as part of Boy Scout Troop 501 of East Brunswick/South River. For his service project, he partnered with New Jersey Blood Services to handle the promotion of two blood drives in East Brunswick. He chose the project because his grandfather previously had a life-threatening condition that inhibited his ability to grow and retain blood cells; he is much better now in part due to blood donations. Blood drives are scheduled for 1:30-7:30 p.m. on June 22 in the center court of the Brunswick Square Mall, 755 Route 18, East Brunswick; and from 1-7 p.m. June 26 at the East Brunswick Library, Civic Center Drive off Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.
