Allaire Rehab and Nursing, 115 Dutch Lane Road, Freehold Township, has opened a new Subacute Unit with 26 rooms. Each room is equipped with a flat screen smart TV, Bluetooth compatible surround-sound bedside speakers, and special ceiling and accent LED soft lighting. There is bistro dining and concierge service. Some rooms include a private bath and shower, a desk, refrigerator and sleeper sofa to ensure family members have a leisurely visit and can spend the night comfortably when needed. Plans to have an all-RN staff on the Subacute Unit will bring to completion this extensive transformation.
Goldfish Swim School in Manalapan recently held a grand opening event. Families were on hand to enjoy family swim times, a balloon artist and a bounce house. Goldfish provides swim instruction to children ages 4 months to 12 years old in a unique setting with highly trained instructors, small class sizes, shiver-free 90-degree pools, and a state-of-the-art water purification system. Mayor Jack McNaboe, Township Committeewoman Mary Ann Musich and Health Officer Dave Richardson were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded in the latest scientific evidence. The goal is speeding recovery and reducing hospital readmissions for heart failure patients. CentraState earned the award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure patients at a set level for a designated period.
“This award was the result of a collaborative effort from many disciplines,” said Registered Nurse Kelly Collazo, cardiac coordinator, Progressive Care Unit, CentraState Medical Center. “It is also a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional heart failure care to our cardiac patients to improve patient outcomes and our dedication to advance our care even further.”

CentraState Medical Center is an Advanced Primary Stroke Center with licensed certification from the Joint Commission and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township, was recently honored with five Aster Awards, recognizing excellence in health care marketing and advertising. The Aster Awards, one of the largest national competitions of its kind, received nearly 3,000 entries in 2018 from across the United States as well as several foreign countries. All entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and scored on multiple criteria including creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. CentraState’s entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories. Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16 percent of the nation for advertising excellence.
