Amy Dimes of Colts Neck has been named director of sales and service, a new position, for Eagle Ridge Golf Course, Lakewood. Her role is to initiate new ideas, drive sales, and focus on delivering outstanding service. She has already introduced Cruise Nights on the second Thursday of each month, trivia nights on Tuesdays, nightly themed menus, live entertainment, and new amenities in the redesigned and remodeled bridal suite, among others. Except for golf, Dimes also supervises all front house operations, marketing, sales, and manages the View Pub and Restaurant. Before taking the position at Eagle Ridge, Dimes was the hotel manager and director of sales for the Berkeley Hotel, Asbury Park. For six years she also ran her own business, Dime Store Candy Buffets, a banquet of candy and sweet treats available at the end of a wedding. Dimes is a graduate of Freehold High School. She holds a degree in business management with a minor in marketing from Monmouth University, Long Branch. Dimes is the president of the PTO for the Colts Neck K-8 School District, having served as a director of fundraising and sponsorship.
Bowlero Corporation (formerly Bowlmor AMF) has announced the selection of five finalists for its #BeBowled: Shoe Design Challenge. These designers are in the running to win a cash prize and have their shoe design professionally manufactured and distributed to Bowlero and Bowlmor Lanes locations nationwide. On Aug. 7, the finalists will be in New York City to see their designs come to life during an exclusive VIP fashion show on the lanes at Bowlero’s flagship location, Bowlmor Times Square. One grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of $2,500 and see their shoe professionally designed, produced and worn by millions at Bowlero and Bowlmor locations nationwide. Tim Ganter, 31, of Freehold, is a finalist. Ganter received his Master’s degree in industrial design from Philadelphia University in 2015 and chose to incorporate all of the colors from Bowlero’s palette into his design, The Fade, to demonstrate the inclusive nature of bowling – a sport that can be played by anyone.
