Noises Off!, revived on Broadway in 2016, is based around a theater company trying to rapidly run through their final dress rehearsal of their show “Nothing On” before the audience arrives. A variety of farcical characters brings this play to life.

The play-within-a-play captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of “Nothing On” in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance toward the end of a debilitating run. The inner workings of theatre behind the scenes are shown.

Progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal, to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance, “Noises Off” is a backstage farce.

This show will star Pegasus alumni from the past three decades. The show will provide for a great opportunity for current students and alumni to work together. Their experience, since graduation, has proven to benefit their performance and bring this production to life. This is further displayed in their collaborative work with current CBA students and their efforts to better understand the different aspects of a theatrical production.

“Noises Off” will have performances on July 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. A final performance will be held on July 29 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling 732-907-PEGA (7342) or emailing pegasustheaternj@gmail.com.
