A third suspect is being sought by police, with the help of the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

In two of the incidents, on Dublin Road and New Road, homeowners confronted the would-be burglars before they could break into the homes, police said. In the other incidents, the burglars forced their way into the houses.

The Hopewell Township Police Department was assisted by neighboring police departments, including the Lawrence Township, Montgomery Township, West Amwell and Florence Township police departments.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the Upper Makefield, Pa., Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
