Barron Arts Center hosts ‘The Earth Speaks’ juried art exhibit through Aug. 26

The Barron Art Center (BAC) will host “The Earth Speaks,” a juried art exhibit through Aug. 26 at the BAC, 582 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge.

The exhibit features works in all mediums from area artists who take a look at environmentalism in the 21st century, as well as allowing the artist the opportunity to offer possible solutions to remedy the situation if need be.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Woodbridge River Watch, a nonprofit organization.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 2-4 p.m. weekends. For more information, call 732-634-0413.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission, chaired by Dr. Dolores Capraro Gioffre with support from Mayor John E. McCormac.
