EAST BRUNSWICK – A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the Primrose School of East Brunswick, which will serve infants and children.
The ceremony took place on Sept. 7 at 138 Summerhill Road.
Primrose Schools provides early education and care to children and families. The business was founded in 1982 and each facility is independently owned and operated, according to information provided by the company.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Brad Cohen, East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Treasurer Brittany Fedun, East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Vice President Jeremy Knapp, franchise owners Nilesh Patel and Priom Patel, and Grace Construction representative John Black
The owners said the school will add 35 new jobs and invest approximately $5 million in project costs to the local economy. The school is expected to serve more than 190 children age 6 weeks to 5 years old with infant to pre-kindergarten classrooms.
“We chose to open a Primrose School in East Brunswick because of the family friendly atmosphere and strong emphasis placed on education in the community,” the owners said in a statement. “There is such a great demand for high-quality early education and care, and we are excited to provide families with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to help children grow a passion for lifelong learning.”
The school is expected to open in early 2019 and will be the ninth Primrose School in New Jersey, according to the statement.
