South River police to hold Coffee with a Cop on Oct. 3

The South River Police Department invites all community members to join National Coffee with a Cop Day from 9-11 a.m. on Oct. 3 at police headquarters, 61 Main St., South River.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of South River PBA Local 62 and Bagel One of South River.

As part of the open house-style event, tours of police headquarters will be available.

Attendees are encouraged to dispose of their unwanted or expired medications in the Project Medicine Drop box while visiting headquarters. Resembling a mailbox, the drop box accepts prescription medications in the form of pills, tablets, capsules, patches and pet medications (no liquids or syringes) and is accessible 24/7.
