On Nov. 6, I am asking you to join me in proudly casting your vote for two true independent candidates, Rob Strovinsky and Linda Cotte for Allentown Borough Council.

I have had the pleasure of knowing the Strovinsky family, Rob and Lisa and their children Ben and Ava, for 20 years, and the even greater pleasure of working with Rob on council for the past three years where he has served each of you with hard work and integrity.

I have known Linda Cotte and her husband Bill for more than 15 years and have had the pleasure of seeing each of them come on board to serve the borough in a variety of capacities.

Linda is a dynamic, passionate member of the Economic Development Commission. With her work experience as Executive Management Partner at Brylin Employee Benefits, LLC, Linda is a common sense fiscal watchdog and a community activist with corporate and community volunteer experience.

Rob Strovinsky has distinguished himself as a voice of fiscal responsibility, a voice of reason and a voice for progress regarding major borough capital projects and initiatives. His volunteerism with Allentown Boy Scout Troop 180 and the Allentown Lions Club also speaks volumes.

Moreover, Rob has earned the admiration of the entire governing body through his leadership and level-headed approach to tough decisions.

Councilman Strovinsky regularly works side-by-side with the borough’s employees, as well as community volunteers and organizations.

Rob has worked hard to improve the borough’s shade tree initiatives, he has improved the look and the usability of our beautiful parks, and has worked very closely with volunteers and borough committees to clean, maintain and beautify our cherished historic cemeteries.

Linda Cotte, who never misses a council meeting and who is first to volunteer her time and energy, is an environmental clean water preservationist with the protection of Allentown’s green spaces and waterways at the top of her agenda.

Rob Strovinsky and Linda Cotte have worked hard for all of us. The Strovinsky-Cotte team have earned my support and my vote. On Nov. 6 they deserve yours.
