SFC Enterprises announced it is nearing completion on its latest project, the Freehold Medical Arts Complex at 597 Park Ave., Freehold Borough. The facility will be affiliated with and include medical services from the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, CentraState Medical Center, VNACJ Community Health Center and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. “I’m incredibly passionate about projects that benefit the community,” said owner and developer, Sal Cannizzaro. “Having the opportunity to develop and be a part of this comprehensive healthcare project which will make a difference in many ways to the community is an honor that I’m eminently grateful for.” The Freehold Medical Arts Complex will contain a Federally Qualified Health Center Primary Care, academic offices for the Rutgers RWJ Medical School Family Medicine Residency Program at CentraState, and the administrative offices of VNA Health Group: Children and Family Health Institute. The Freehold Medical Arts Complex is scheduled to open in January 2019.

During November, all 23 offices of Amboy Bank will collect food and household items for food banks in their branch area. Every Amboy office manager has selected a food bank to collect for in their community. In many cases, Amboy has a strong relationship with the organizations, including St. Laurence Food Bank, Lunch Break and Freehold Open Door. Gregory Scharpf, chief operating officer, said, “At Amboy Bank, we are dedicated to helping our local community prosper and we are proud to lend a helping hand to our neighbors who need it most. Manalapan Blaze Pizza has opened at 33 Route 9 South, Manalapan (next to Panera Bread). The business is owned by Bipin and Amit Patel of AMPAL Group, a restaurant franchise based out of Green Brook. Manalapan Blaze Pizza will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Earle Asphalt Company, which completes construction and road projects throughout New Jersey, is marking its 50th anniversary. The company was founded by Walter Earle in 1968. Earle was was working as an inspector for Birdsall Engineering when he decided to start a paving company in Monmouth and Ocean counties, according to the company. Today, the Earle Asphalt Company employs almost 300 people. More than 80 percent of the company’s management rolls from foreman and up are filled by individuals who were trained and promoted to those positions. Walter Earle died in 2004.
