South Amboy ARTS presents ‘Faces of Our City’

SOUTH AMBOY – The South Amboy ARTS organization’s first exhibition for 2019 will focus on the people of South Amboy.

The “Faces of Our City” photography exhibit will be held at the Broadway Gallery, 141 N. Broadway, South Amboy, beginning with a reception from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 19.

According to representatives from South Amboy ARTS, “The Faces of Our City exhibit celebrates South Amboy and those who contribute their character, ambiance and appeal to make South Amboy unique. Many of these individuals have contributed to the city’s history and, together with recent residents, are helping create the city’s future. The focus of the exhibit is centered around local artists and their importance as it relates to the creativity and inspiration to South Amboy.”

In order to participate in the exhibit, photographers must be South Amboy residents, submit one 8-inch by 10-inch black and white photo printed on matte finished photography paper that demonstrates the theme. Photographers may make their submissions by Dec. 26 to Jacqueline Kelly at the Senior Center, 108 Stevens Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.
