Business posts $1,000 reward in wake of burglary

HOWELL – The owner of a recycling business is offering a $1,000 reward for the identification and arrest of two burglars who broke into his business.

John Blewett Recycling, Herbertsville Road (Route 549), Howell, was the victim of a burglary during the weekend of Dec. 14-15.

Howell police said two individuals broke into the business during the early morning hours. Police said the individuals obviously knew there was video surveillance equipment operating because they covered their faces and wore gloves.

Police said the individuals did not realize there were any significant proceeds to steal. The suspects stole loose change.

The owner of the business has posted a $1,000 reward for the identification and arrest of those involved.
