A new QuickChek has opened at 270 Monmouth Road, Manalapan (Route 537 at the corner of Smithburg Road). The 5,496-square-foot store offers fresh brewed coffee and fresh food. Grand opening promotions include free large QuickChek hot or iced coffee offered to all patrons from Feb. 5-17. QuickChek’s newest concept store introduces its new “Fresh to Go” design with more than 50 percent of the store dedicated to fresh food and beverages. The store will be open 24 hours. Amenities include no-fee ATMs, indoor seating for 11 people, outdoor seating for eight people and 10 fueling positions at the adjacent gas station. The new store will create 50 jobs, including eight management positions. QuickChek will donate 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold at the store from Feb. 5 through March 7 to the Manalapan Youth Basketball Association.

Connor Davies, LLP, the nation’s 29th largest accounting and advisory firm, has promoted Scott Edison to partner. Edison, who is a CPA, brings more than 20 years of experience focusing on providing business consulting and advisory services as well as individual, partnership and corporate tax planning and accounting for privately held and family owned businesses. He is based in the firm’s Cranford office. Edison is a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Shaari Emeth, Manalapan. He will be a partner in the firm’s Business Solutions group.

On Jan. 25, Century 21 Mack Morris Iris Lurie Realtors held its 32nd annual awards gala at the Grand Marquis, Old Bridge, where top sales agents and top sales teams were recognized for their achievements during 2018. Michael Miedler, president and CEO of Century 21 Worldwide, presented the winners with their awards.

The Top 10 Sales Associates in Production for 2018 were Laurin LaLima, Brian Lichtenthal, Carrie Moyer, Ianina Fishman, Frank Fortino, Susan Kaplan, Lori Ragovin, Marcia Sokal, Sari Fein and Garry Klein.

The Top 2 Sales Teams in Production for 2018 were the Andrea and Harry Mesh Team, and Marty and Ruth Cole and Stacey DiGrande for the Cole Gold Team.

The Olga Vensgus Award for Outstanding Achievement was presented to Sari Fein.

The New Jersey Circus Center, Morganville, will offer adaptive circus classes for children who have a disability. The classes teach circus skills at a modified pace as needed to meet each individual’s needs and to support physical, social-emotional and cognitive development. Classes will take place on Sunday mornings beginning in February. Megan Mineroff, a doctoral student interested in the benefits of circus arts for children with special needs, will teach the classes. Jodi Goldberg, with RE/MAX Central, has qualified for the RE/MAX Chairman’s Club Award in 2018. In 2017, the Chairman’s Club Award was presented to less than 2 percent of all active RE/MAX agents. This is the first year Goldberg has received the award. Goldberg has been serving her community as a real estate agent with RE/MAX Central for 10 years and has extensive experience selling homes and working with buyers in Manalapan and Marlboro. Goldberg has earned Circle of Excellence Platinum level, Top 1 percent of Monmouth County Agents, RE/MAX Hall of Fame status and is a NJ Monthly Magazine “5 Star Agent.”

The Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors (MORR) will honor the 912 members who achieved the 2018 New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Award. The award recognizes members who have demonstrated excellence in the field of salesmanship. MORR is planning an awards dinner in the spring in Atlantic City to honor those who earned this special statewide recognition. MORR members received 78 platinum awards, 124 gold awards, 256 silver awards and 454 bronze awards. In addition, 30 MORR members also achieved the New Jersey Realtors Distinguished Sales Club Award. The award recognizes members who achieved New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Award status for 10 or more years (not necessarily consecutive).
