Man charged with criminal trespass entering Hopewell Valley High

A 48-year-old Flemington man has been charged with criminal trespass after he walked into Hopewell Valley Central High School on Jan. 29, according to the Hopewell Township Police Department.

The man entered the high school at about 11:45 a.m. and engaged a custodial staff member in conversation for a brief period of time, police said.

The man had no legitimate reason for entering the high school and was asked to leave by the custodian. The man complied and was subsequently charged with criminal trespass by police.

The case is being forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
