The academy will offer training on a range of law enforcement topics including motor vehicle laws, criminal law, and use of force. In addition, citizens will learn about crime scene processing, defensive tactics and internal affairs. The academy will culminate with a day of practical exercises where students will handle simulated motor vehicle stops, disputes, and other realistic scenarios.

Classes will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m., March 6 to May 22. There will be no class on April 24 for Spring Break.

Community members must complete an application and go through a screening process.  Contact Julie Trammell by emailing CPA@sbtnj.net.  Applications must be submitted by Feb. 20.
