Members of East Brunswick Girl Scout Troop 80097 presented “Let’s Talk Trash,” their troop project about the dangers of single-use plastics to animals and the environment, at the East Brunswick Public Library on March 6. Their presentation preceded a screening of the documentary film “Bag It” and discussion by Liti Haramaty of the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission, which sponsored the Option Green event with the library. The audience engaged in a lively discussion on how to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of single-use plastics locally.
