The Allentown Garden Club has been invited by the Drumthwacket Foundation and the Garden Club of New Jersey to decorate Drumthwacket, the official residence of New Jersey’s Governor, for its upcoming 2019 holiday open house tour in Princeton.

In this long-standing holiday tradition called The Holidays at Drumthwacket, nine garden clubs are selected from more than 120 statewide garden clubs to decorate separate areas of the Governor’s mansion which are opened to the public for self-guided tours on select days in December.

The decorated spaces include the front portico, foyer, dining room, parlor, music room, library and study.

This is the first time the Allentown Garden Club has been asked to transform one room of Drumthwacket for the holiday season and its members are very excited to participate in this festive tradition, according to a press release from the club.

Parking and admission to Drumthwacket’s holiday open house is free, but guests must reserve a ticket in advance online. For more information about the open house tours, dates, and to make online ticket reservations, visit https://drumthwacket.org/visit/open-houses
