‘Frozen Jr.’ will thaw the coldest hearts at Kelsey Theatre

The Tomato Patch Workshop’s production of Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” hits the Kelsey stage at Mercer County Community College, Feb. 28 through March 1. Kelsey Theatre is on the college’s campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

“Frozen Jr.” is part of the Kelsey Kids Series and is a modern classic from Disney that is based on the 2018 Broadway musical. The show brings Elsa, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life, according to a press release.

“Frozen Jr.” features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, in addition to five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, “Frozen Jr.” explores the emotional relationship and journey between princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood, according to the press release.

“Frozen Jr.” is produced by M. Kitty Getlik and directed by Elizabeth Rzasa.

The cast of “Frozen Jr.” includes Bridget Godfrey of Robbinsville as Anna, Kylie Mulvihill of Freehold as Elsa, Alex de Mets of Newtown, Pa., as Kristoff, Justin Casler of Hamilton Township, as Sven, Jamai Brown of Trenton as Hans, Whitney Daniels of Willingboro as Olaf, Miranda Rose Zimmerman of Hamilton Township as Young Anna, Dayley Katz of Plainsboro as Middle Anna, Ella Rogers of Hamilton Township as Young Elsa, Sophia Coppolecchia of Bordentown as Middle Elsa, Giancarlo Crapanzano of Robbinsville as Oaken, Mahmoud Selym of Hopewell as King Agnar, Shannon Shipp of Washington Crossing, Pa., as Queen Iduna, Xavier Knowles of Trenton as Pabbie, Angela P. Tetruashvili of Feasterville, Pa., as Bulda, Peter Piccini of Monroe as Bishop, Benjamin Cole of Hamilton Township as Weselton, Julia Diaz of Princeton Junction as Housekeeper, Noah Coppolecchia of Bordentown as Butler, Avery Dixon of Cranbury as Handmaiden, Ryleigh Balazs of East Brunswick as Cook, and Symeer Winter of Hightstown as Steward.

Chloe Goehrig and Rio Kiernen, both of Allentown, are in the Children’s Chorus.

Performance dates for “Frozen Jr.” at the Kelsey Theatre are Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., Feb. 29 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and March 1 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for children, students and senior citizens, and $15 for adults. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the box office at 609-570-3333.

Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible, with free parking available next to the theater. Assisted listening devices are available upon request, according to the press release.
