Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training offered in May

The Center for Addiction & Recovery Education & Success (CARES) through a Prevention is Key (PIK) special project will offer Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training virtually starting May 9. Times are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 5-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Learn how to offer your lived experience to provide peer recovery support to individuals and family members touched by addiction.

The CARES curriculum meets the mandatory 46 hours of training required by certification by the Addiction Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey.

All registered participants must attend the following dates to receive a certificate of completions: May 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26 and 28.

The cost is $400 per person. First responders receive free registration with proof of credentials.
