Veterans encouraged to seek assistance from GI Go Fund

KATHY CHANG/STAFF
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 233-NJ held its annual POW/MIA vigil from noon on Sept. 20 to 10 a.m. on Sept. 21 at the Metuchen Memorial Park. The vigil is held to thank and honor the United States military veterans who served during the Vietnam War in partnership with the U.S. of America Vietnam War 50th Commemoration.

The GI Go Fund has done considerable work for veterans over the past few months, including providing SBA and NJEDA loan assistance to veteran centers incubator businesses; connecting critical products for COVID-19 response to health care facilities in desperate need of supplies; and fielding video calls from more than 100 veterans in New Jersey and hundreds more across the country to help them with their virus-related needs.

Any veteran seeking assistance with a job search, housing, filing a VA claim or obtaining a small business loan can sign up for an appointment at www.eventbrite.com/e/gi-go-fund-virtual-veteran-meeting-tickets-102080567726
