In accordance with Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order, all patrons and staff are required to wear masks and observe social distancing of at least six feet at all times while in the library building. Be prepared to have your temperature taken before entry.

Patrons should keep library visits to one hour or less so that more people have a chance to enter and use the library.

The current hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and closed on the weekends.. There are senior hours from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

A full schedule of online activities can be found at www.monroetwplibrary.org/virtual-programs. In-person library programming will resume at a later date.

Computer use will be available by appointment to allow for social distancing guidelines and to allow for proper sanitation between users.

Since the library is offering Grab & Go service, furniture has been rearranged so that no seating is available. Collect materials and allow others to enter the library.

Faxing, photocopying, printing and scanning will be available. Notary services will be offered at a later date.

Materials may be returned to the book drops at the Monroe Township Public Library and Senior Center. The book drop at Community Recreation Center remains closed at this time. For the safety of patrons and staff, items will be quarantined for three days before check in; allow up to five days for materials to be removed from your record. Overdue fines have been waived for the time being.

Donations will not be accepted at this time.

Contactless curbside pickup service will continue even after the library reopens. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Place any items on hold and once they are available, a library staff member will call to schedule an appointment for pickup.
