SAMHAJ to hold mental illness support group meetings geared toward South Asians

Anyone dealing with stress, anxiety and other psycho-social issues can join online support groups through SAMHAJ (South Asian Mental Health Awareness in Jersey).

SAMHAJ is an awareness and education program of NAMI NJ (National Alliance on Mental Illness). The mission is to provide support, education and advocacy for South Asian American individuals and families affected by serious mental illness.

The next meetings are: Online Family Support Group, 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 3; Online Peer Support Group, 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 5; and Online Social Support Group, 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 19.
