The Lawrence Board of Education appointed Eshaya Draper as the operations manager to the superintendent at their April 21 meeting.

Draper began in Lawrence on April 27. He succeeds Lana Mueller who is retiring May 1, after 26 years of service to the district.

His background also includes extensive work in community engagement and performing arts programs. Draper earned his associate’s degree in Liberal Arts – Communications from Middlesex County College and anticipates earning his Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2022 from Thomas Edison State University.
