HOWELL – The first Howell Restaurant Week, which is being sponsored by the Howell Business Recovery Task Force, will take place from July 30 through Aug. 8.

The task force is a public-private partnership that has been working to increase economic activity in a safe and responsible way as restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic were lifted by Gov. Phil Murphy. The panel’s goal is to ensure the vitality of Howell’s economy.

The task force reached out to the owners of local restaurants who are interested in participating in Howell Restaurant Week. A restaurant owner may offer a prix fixe, special of the week, or any other desired promotion.

Members of the task force said the goal of Howell Restaurant Week is to bring new customers to local businesses.

Some of the restaurants that are planning to take part in Howell Restaurant Week are Arooga’s Grille House Sports Bar, Big City Bagels, Chapter House Bar and Grill, Colonial Coffee Shoppe, Corsi’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Four Boys Pizza, Galileo Pizza & Restaurant, Geo’s Pizza, Impresso, The Ivy League, Kava Coffee & Kitchen, Pat D’s Pizza, Ready Set Juice, Texas Roadhouse and Tom’s Tavern.

Deputy Mayor Thomas Russo, who chairs the task force, said businesses can still participate in Howell Restaurant Week by sending an email to HowellRestaurantWeek@gmail.com

“The Business Recovery Task Force is excited to announce Howell’s first Restaurant Week. I am extremely proud of the task force and all of the creative ideas that are geared toward helping our local businesses.

“I am thankful for the time and effort of our members who put this concept into action. The hope is that this event will create a busy week for participating businesses and further encourage old and new customers to come out and enjoy some great food here in Howell,” Russo said.
