The newest class of volunteers graduated on July 26 after completing a four-day program at Good Grief’s Princeton Family Support Center, according to information provided by the organization.

The 36-hour grief and loss training program helps volunteers develop skills and build confidence to serve as facilitators for Good Grief’s peer support programs which serve more than 850 NJ children and families each month.

“Our volunteers are the foundation of our work to help children and families navigate their grief and develop a sense of hopefulness for the future,” Good Grief CEO Joe Primo said in the statement. “Becoming a volunteer for Good Grief is a meaningful and life changing experience for our more than 300 volunteers who come from all walks of life and represent a diverse group of backgrounds, ages and cultures.”
