When voters in Eatontown, Red Bank, Rumson, Fair Haven, Tinton Falls and Shrewsbury go to the polls on Nov. 2 to vote for municipal and state officials, they will also vote to elect members of their local school boards.
July 26 was the deadline for New Jersey residents to file a nominating petition and declare their intention to run for a seat on a board of education. Elected school board members serve without compensation.
On the Monmouth Regional High School District Board of Education, which serves Eatontown, Shrewsbury Township and Tinton Falls, one Eatontown seat and two Tinton Falls seats will be on the ballot in their respective municipalities.
In Eatontown, incumbent Anthony Gaetano is running unopposed for a three-year term on the regional school board, according to the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office.
In Tinton Falls, incumbent Jonathan Cohen and Joseph Bruccoleri are running unopposed for two three-year terms on the regional school board. Incumbent Susan Fisher is not seeking re-election.
The Monmouth Regional High School District Board of Education has five representatives from Tinton Falls; three representatives from Eatontown; and one representative from Shrewsbury Township. The Shrewsbury Township seat is not be on the ballot this year.
Also in Eatontown, incumbent Maysee Jacobs, and Jennifer Kopach, Jacqueline Maguire and Deidre Seaman are seeking three available three-year terms on the Eatontown Public Schools Board of Education. Incumbents Bob English and Tiffany Miller are not seeking to retain their seats.
Also in Tinton Falls, the terms of incumbents Ryan Hager, Fred Lomangino and Natalie Watson, who represent Tinton Falls, are on the ballot for seats on the Tinton Falls K-8 School District Board of Education.
Seeking the three available three-year terms are Lomangino, Watson, Toni Ann Alfano, Michele Ruscavage and Lora Smith-Staines. Hager is not seeking to retain his seat on the board.
The Tinton Falls K-8 School District serves Shrewsbury Township and Tinton Falls. The board has eight representatives from Tinton Falls and one representative from Shrewsbury Township. The Shrewsbury Township seat is not be on the ballot this year.
On the Red Bank Regional High School District Board of Education, a three-year term in Little Silver; a three-year term in Red Bank and a one-year unexpired term in Red Bank; and a three-year term in Shrewsbury Borough are on the ballot in their respective municipalities.
In Little Silver, incumbent Eugene Koster and Tara Gibb will square off in a race for the three-year term.
In Red Bank, incumbent Patrick Noble is running unopposed for the three-year term and incumbent John Garofalo is running unopposed for the one-year unexpired term.
In Shrewsbury Borough, incumbent Randy Mendelson is running unopposed for the three-year term.
The Red Bank Regional High School District Board of Education has five representatives from Red Bank; two representatives from Little Silver; and two representatives from Shrewsbury Borough.
In Red Bank, incumbents Dominic Kalorin, Ann Roseman and Frederick Stone, and Matthew Withers are seeking three available three-year terms on the Red Bank Borough Public Schools Board of Education.
In Shrewsbury Borough, two residents filed nominating petitions to run for three available three-year seats on the Shrewsbury Borough School Board of Education. The candidates are incumbent Pamela Hemel, and David Ngo.
There is a third three-year term available on the board, but no resident filed to run for that term and a winner may be decided by write-in votes.
Incumbents Donald Sweeney and Patricia Humes are not seeking re-election in Shrewsbury Borough.
On the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School District Board of Education, which serves Fair Haven and Rumson, two Fair Haven terms and one Rumson term will be on the ballot in their respective municipalities.
In Fair Haven, incumbents Brian Leddin and Sarah Maris, and Jennifer Halcrow and Suzanne McCabe will be seeking the two available three-year terms on the regional board.
In Rumson, incumbent Joseph Kenney, and Robert Morris will seek the one available three-year term on the regional board.
The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School District Board of Education has five representatives from Rumson and four representatives from Fair Haven.
For the Fair Haven Public Schools Board of Education, incumbents Michelle Buckley and Geri Albin Pagano, and Lindsay Bruno and Kristina Bade are the four candidates seeking the three available three-year terms on the board.
Incumbent Bennett Coleman is not seeking to retain her seat on the board.
In the Rumson School District, three available three-year terms on the Board of Education are being sought by four residents: incumbent Charles Jones III and Mia Choate, James McManus and Linda James Smith.
John Connors and Melissa Ginsberg are not seeking to retain their seats on the board.
