The one-lane bridge on Opossum Road was damaged, but remained passable, after a tractor-trailer truck struck the bridge as its driver was following GPS directions to make a delivery in Hillsborough Township, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.

Police were called after the 18-wheeler became disabled on Opossum Road in the July 22 incident, and found that several of the tractor-trailer tires were damaged when the driver tried to cross the narrow, one-lane bridge in the 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck.

The truck driver, who lives in Philadelphia, was issued as summons for operating an overweight vehicle on the bridge.
