Child recovered from storm drain

A child who entered a storm drain while visiting relatives near the Lawrenceville Point subdivision was pulled from the storm drain soon after being reported missing around 5 p.m. Aug. 31, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.

The 9-year-old child wandered off, crawled into the storm drain and became lost, police said.

The Lawrence Township Fire Department and Emergency Services responded to the Lawrenceville Point subdivision, off Bunker Hill Road, and located the child.

The child was removed from the storm drain without incident, police said. The child was not injured and did not require medical treatment.
