Prospective Eagle Scout Kyle Toland refreshed the fire pit area at Ann Van Middlesworth Park.
Kyle, a member of Boy Scout Troop 1776, along with several volunteers, trimmed overgrown bushes, swept and tidied the brickwork, and refurbished the fire pit itself.
Kyle also installed a new bench, and, in compliance with Fire Safety, set up a sand bucket.
Mayor Shawn Lipani stopped the park on Aug. 24 for the inauguration of the recently refurbished fire pit.
