Mercer County continues vaccine pop-up clinics

Mercer County’s vaccine pop-up clinics will be ongoing through at least October.

The clinics are will be available from Sept. 3 to Oct. 1. Each of the clinic locations will provide vaccines from Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and Moderna from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The one-dose shot of J&J is for people 18 years old and up; Pfizer is two doses for those age 12 and older, and the two-dose shot of Moderna is for people 18 and older.

“No decision has been made yet regarding vaccination clinics beyond Oct. 1,” Mercer County spokesman Michael Boonin said.

The locations are Sept. 3, 10, 17 and 24, and Oct. 1, at the Trenton Farmers Market, 960 Spruce St., Lawrence Township;

and Sept. 13, 20 and 27 at Millyard Park, 635 S. Clinton Ave., next to Roebling Market, Trenton.

The clinics are walk-in events and registration is not required, but is recommended.

The county partnered with Capital Health and Penn Medicine Princeton Health for the clinics. At the height of the pandemic the county partnered with with Capital Health for a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton and had partnered with Penn Medicine Princeton Health to manage a second fixed-based vaccination site at the Mercer County Skating Park.

As of Sept. 1, the state’s data dashboard has 222,303 residents fully vaccinated and 254,988 people with at least one vaccine dose in the county. According to the 2020 census from the U.S. Census Bureau, Mercer County has 387,340 residents.

The state dashboard also indicates that the county has had 52 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
