A 28-year-old Puerto Rico woman who was stopped by police for speeding on Route 133 Oct. 1 was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain lane, according to reports. During the motor vehicle stop, the woman allegedly displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests.

A 37-year-old East Windsor man and a 35-year-old East Windsor woman were charged with shoplifting for taking an assortment of items, valued at a combined $72.53, from Walmart Oct. 2. The two suspects left the store before police arrived, but an officer located one of the individuals at a nearby home, according to reports. Both were identified and charged.

A 38-year-old Trenton man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and impeding traffic after a police officer observed the man’s car driving slowly in the left lane on Route 130 Oct. 2, police said. The officer pulled the car over and during the motor vehicle stop, the man exhibited signs of impairment. He was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests.
