East Windsor police blotter

A 40-year-old Hightstown man was charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle violations after an East Windsor police officer observed that his vehicle failed to stay in its lane of travel on Milford Road at Route 33 at 12:53 a.m. Dec. 5. Police said the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, being an unlicensed driver and failure to maintain lane. He was released, pending court action.

A 48-year-old Jackson man who did not stop at a traffic signal at Mercer Street and Hickory Corner Road was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to obey a traffic control device at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 5. Police said the man showed signs of impairment and was charged after failing field sobriety tests. He was released, pending court action.

A 39-year-old East Windsor man who lost control of his vehicle and struck two parked cars on Bolton Road at 4:28 a.m. Dec. 7 was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, driving under the influence in a school zone, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and being an unlicensed driver. Police said the man showed signs of impairment and was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was released, pending court action.
