A 37-year-old Delaware man was charged with a number of narcotics offenses and other charges on June 26. Police went to check on a male subject in the rear of the Bank of America on Route 130 who allegedly appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. The male provided a fictious name to officers and handed them a fraudulent Pennsylvania driver’s license. The man was found to possess three bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia and four additional fraudulent identifications as well as fraudulent bank cards. He was then charged possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of false government documents, possession of drug paraphernalia, hindering and being a fugitive from Delaware. He was then committed to the Burlington County Jail pending detention and extradition hearings.

Three Camden residents were charged with a number of narcotics offenses on June 20. Police were called to the Petro Truck Stop located at 402 Rising Sun Road for a report of subjects attempting to pass counterfeit currency on June 20. Employees relayed information about the suspect’s vehicle, a Mitsubishi Mirage, and police located it nearby at the Love’s Truck Stop. Following an alert from Bordentown Township’s K9 Drake, a search was conducted of the vehicle which led to the recovery of drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of heroin. Some $230.00 in counterfeit currency was also found inside the vehicle and all occupants were placed under arrest. A 35-year-old woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a 61-year-old man was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 57-year-old man was charged with forgery, theft by deception and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspects were processed and released.

A 40-year-old Georgia man was charged for unlawfully possessing three loaded handguns, and numerous narcotics offenses on June 7. Police stopped the man’s Chevrolet Suburban on Route 206 for displaying an expired temporary registration. Following a K9 alert, a search was conducted of the vehicle which led to the seizure of a fully loaded Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver, loaded Glock .45 caliber handgun and loaded FN 9mm handgun. Officers also recovered a kilogram of cocaine, small bag of cocaine, small bag of methamphetamine, small bag of ecstasy tablets, 24 jars of suspected marijuana and five high-capacity magazines. The man was also charged with being a certain person not to possess firearms. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail. The Mount Laurel Police Department’s K9 Jersey and his handler assisted in the search.
