A 32-year-old Hamilton Township woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant from East Windsor Township after a police officer stopped her vehicle on Route 130 after noticing the brake lights were not working Jan. 3. She was processed and taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.

A 46-year-old East Windsor Township woman was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after she was stopped by police for not using the pedestrian crosswalk on Route 130 at Route 571 on Jan. 2. She was also found to have several outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.

A 31-year-old Haledon man was arrested on outstanding warrants Dec. 29 after the car he was riding in was stopped by police on Route 33 West. The police officer noticed that he was not wearing a seat belt and the vehicle’s brake lights were not working. He was processed and released.

Two Plainfield women, ages 29 and 31, were charged with shoplifting for allegedly attempting to leave ShopRite without paying for $832.21 worth of items Dec. 29.

A 27-year-old Rockaway, N.Y., man was charged with shoplifting after he walked out of Target with three vacuum cleaners. He allegedly cut the security tags on the vacuum cleaners, which were valued at a combined $3,134.89, put them in a shopping cart with other items and left without paying on Dec. 26.
