A 29-year-old Plainfield man was charged with burglary and theft May 2 for allegedly breaking into a car in the Walmart parking lot and stealing a purse. The incident occurred April 8, and was assigned to a detective who identified the suspect. The man was charged on a complaint summons.

A 21-year-old Hightstown man was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and careless driving at 12:49 a.m. May 1 after a police officer observed his vehicle being driven recklessly on Route 130 and then on Hickory Corner Road. He was processed and released.

A 39-year-old Elizabeth man was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and careless driving at 12:29 a.m. April 27 after a police officer observed his vehicle being driven erratically on Route 130. He was processed and released.

A 24-year-old Trenton man was charged with being an unlicensed driver and for a maintenance of lamps violation after he was stopped by police at 3:05 a.m. April 27 on Morrison Avenue. He was found to have outstanding warrants from Monmouth County and the City of Trenton. He was processed and released to the Trenton Police Department.
