‘For Worse’ to premiere at Long Branch theater

LONG BRANCH — New Jersey Repertory Company will present the world premiere of the comedy, “For Worse,” from March 10 through April 10 at 179 Broadway.

Performances at 8 p.m. will be held Thursday and Friday, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Sneak-preview performances begin March 10 with opening night on March 12.

Written by Deborah Rennard and directed by Evan Bergman, the play features cast members Ed Kershen, Kristin Griffith, Daniela Mastropietro and Angie Tennant.

The comedy is about Peter who informs his wife, after three decades of marriage, that he is in love with another woman. Peter assumes his wife will leave, but she doesn’t, and to make matters worse, his girlfriend gives him an ultimatum. Peter’s choices in life are put to the test as he questions the meaning of love, friendship and betrayal.
