Film will explore the war on coal

Panico’s will hold a special advance film screening of “From The Ashes,” a new documentary that goes beyond the rhetoric of the “war on coal” from 7-9 p.m. on June 7 at the pizzeria, 94 Church St., New Brunswick.

The film takes a look at what is at stake for the economy, health and climate. “From The Ashes” is produced by RadicalMedia in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies and presented by National Geographic TV. It will air on National Geographic on June 25.

There will be a brief discussion after the film. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided.

The screening is free and open to the public, including non-Sierra Club members.

Metered street parking is available, as well as a public garage at 90 Church St.
