OLD BRIDGE  An Old Bridge dancer is figuratively about to dance her way across the country.

Photographer Jonathan Givens took a 90-day, 22,000-mile, 56-location road trip across the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii last summer to photograph dancers in national parks and historic locations to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.

The book “Dance Across the USA,” which features 15-year-old Jessica Esposito, is now in presale.

Jessica responded to a posting last year on social media, and on Sept. 14, 2016, took part in a photo shoot at Buttermilk Falls in Layton. Givens had said that out of more than 100 applicants from New Jersey, Jessica stood out because of her “beautiful lines and lovely extension.”

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to national parks as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. To donate to Givens’ mission, visit www.crowdrise.com/dance-across-the-usa/fundraiser/danceatusa.
