I am writing to endorse Deputy Mayor Julie Blake for another term on the Hopewell Township Committee. I tend to avoid politics considering how divisive the topic is in our country right now, but Julie is one of the few people for whom I make an exception. I have had the privilege of knowing Julie as a colleague and friend for over 10 years. I moved into Hopewell a little over a year ago and while my wife and I were conducting our search for a new home, Julie continually raved about her town. She spoke of the wonderful schools, outstanding parks, and caring public servants. Her love and devotion to Hopewell was evident and she played a big part in convincing us that Hopewell was the place we wanted to raise our family.

Julie is one of the most conscientious and ethical people I have ever known. She truly cares about Hopewell and her responsibilities as the deputy mayor of Hopewell. She has worked tirelessly as an advocate for her constituents, whether it was working as the township safety liaison, serving as the point person in dealing with Trenton Water Works, helping to lead the fight against PennEast, or helping to get local roads repaired. Her dedication to making the township committee a more open and inclusive organization is unquestioned and her genuine enthusiasm for the township’s potential is infectious.

Julie is the right person to help lead Hopewell Township. Please join me on November 6 in re-electing Julie Blake to another term on the Hopewell Township Committee.
