This study, funded by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, will identify short-term and long-term strategies in Allentown, Robbinsville and Upper Freehold Township that are intended to manage freight-related travel issues and avoid conflicts based on travel patterns, existing and projected conditions, and planned developments, according to a press release.

During the meeting, the project team will present findings of the data collection and analysis including crash hot spots, traffic volume, and an inventory of existing infrastructure. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions and provide input. One additional public meeting is planned for April, according to the press release.

The final report will provide recommendations that are intended to ease congestion and promote a safe traveling environment for all road users.

For additional information about the project, contact the study team at transportation@co.monmouth.nj.us using the subject line “Freight Study.” A comment form and interactive mapping survey is available on the study website, www.movingmindfully.net
