East Windsor Township’s fireworks show, set for July 6, has been postponed until July 13 because of the weather, according to East Windsor Township officials.

The Independence Day celebration will kick off July 13 at 6 p.m. at Etra Lake Park with music by Jerry Rife’s Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band, followed by the Trenton Brass Quarter Plus One at 7:45 p.m.

The fireworks show will start at around 9:30 p.m.

Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, and to make use of the barbeque grills for a night of free fun at Etra Lake Park, Mayor Janice S. Mironov said.

Vendors also will be on hand, selling refreshments.

The free event is being made possible through the contributions of area businesses, Mayor Mironov said.
