PLAINSBORO — Township voters will be asked to elect three fire commissioners and to approve the fire district’s proposed $2.13 million budget Feb. 20.
The polls will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Plainsboro Fire Co.’s headquarters at 405 Plainsboro Road.
Voters will be asked to approve the fire district’s proposed $2.1 million budget, which has decreased by $64,000 from the 2015 budget of $2.2 million. The fire district tax rate will remain unchanged at 5 cents per $100 of assessed value.
Voters also will be asked to elect three fire commissioners to the Plainsboro Fire District’s Board of Commissioners.
Incumbent fire commissioners Ted Wagner of Linden Lane and Michael Ruskuski of Ravens Crest Drive are seeking election to three-year terms. Robert Corriveau of Linden Lane is seeking election to fill out the unexpired term of former Commissioner Scott Kivet, who resigned.
