The Princeton community was the recipient of the gift of music and dance Friday night in the Princeton High School Performing Arts Center. Dr. J. Donald Dumpson, as part of the Princeton Public Schools Black History Month celebrations, worked with the Princeton High School choirs to bring spirituals and gospel music to the district’s schools. On Friday Dr. Dumpson and the PHS students were joined by local musicians and dancers to present the Spirituals and Gospel Festival. The concert, which left the audience asking for more, featured singers from First Baptist Church and Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church, Revelation Praise Dance Ministry of First Baptist Church, and the Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church Dance Ministry.
