Princeton University offered admission to 1,894 applicants out of the largest applicant pool in the school history, which resulted in a record-low admission rate of 6.46 percent.
In all, a little more than 29,300 people from 151 countries applied to join the class of 2020, the university announced.
“The admitted students are outstanding in every way,” admission dean Janet Lavin Rapelye said in statement.
The university said students have until May 1 to decide whether to come to Princeton, as the freshman class is expected to number 1,308.
